Georgina is a UK-based psychotherapist dedicated to offering compassionate, person-centred therapeutic support to adults, young people and couples. Born in London and raised in Cheshire, Georgina began her psychotherapy training at Keele University in 2020, where she earned both a Post-Graduate Certificate and an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her academic work included original research into the long-term impact of sexual abuse on subsequent sexual experience, reflecting her early commitment to understanding trauma and embodied experience.
Post qualification Georgina worked at a hospice as a bereavement counsellor and also as a counsellor at an employee assistance provider before moving into full-time private practice, alongside setting up a yoga studio from which she teaches yoga with her husband in Birmingham.
Prior to her career in psychotherapy, Georgina was a full-time competitive swimmer. This formative experience informs her special interest in supporting athletes in navigating their relationship with performance, pain and identity beyond the narrow aims of performance-only psychology.
Georgina practises as a person-centred counsellor, grounded in empathy, non-judgement and genuine human presence. Her work is trauma-informed and she has developed significant clinical experience with complex and developmental trauma (CPTSD), bereavement and loss. She integrates creative expressive arts — including non-verbal modalities like painting and movement — when it can support clients to access and express difficult or inarticulate experiences. Georgina is also currently training as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and in NARM (The NeuroAffective Relational Model® ) , expanding her capacity to work with developmental and embodied trauma.
Committed to inclusivity, Georgina works affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ individuals and clients exploring their gender and identity. She supports people across a range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, and relational distress. Her therapeutic spaces are offered in person in Birmingham, at Gray’s Inn Therapy Rooms in Central London, and online, with flexible options available to meet client needs. Georgina is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and conducts her work in accordance with their ethical framework.
Georgina’s approach is characterised by warmth, curiosity and relational depth, creating an environment where clients can speak their truths aloud and explore what truly matters to them.
